Set up your day for change and growth

  • Set up your day for change and growth. If you want to change you have to actually change. Hopefully you do want to change for the better, become a better version of yourself. If so I commend you. It is hard and takes courage and determination. Every day you have to begin the battle anew. I pray for the courage and fortitude to stay the course. This is not the way of the weak nor the demure. Not the way of the flock nor the herd.

    In order to change, you need to change, change your pattern, change your habits, change your thoughts, change beliefs change posture. “You” whatever that is, must change.

    Change your mindset. This one is easy, a life hack. When you wake up in the morning let the first thing you say be “I am grateful for my life” that’s it. Say it and your whole day will be a different day, subtly at first but noticeable. Believe it and the change will be bigger, live it and you will begin life anew.

    We take (hopefully) 10 000 steps a day and around 20 000 breaths a day. Change these patterns. The second thing you should do in the morning is reset your breathing pattern. Instead of sleep restoring each night we remain locked in our patterns. Don’t believe me? So many wake up exhausted with back pain? If you are exploring your breathing patterns, and the courageous changling must explore. Explore your breathing first thing in the morning before you even get out of bed. Take a deep breath in and then relax and let it go. What does it feel like? Where does the breath go? Can you just relax and sigh? Could you breath out more. Many people are hyper inflated on waking.

    Breathing should start in the chest and flow like a wave and be felt in the pelvic floor. Does it feel stuck? Where does the breath start. Take the pillow from under your head and place it beneath your knees, lift your hips gently and relax your spine down on the bed, relax your neck, feel the breathing pattern change. Don’t aim for perfection, just positive change. If you feel calmer and more relaxed reaffirm that sensation.
    Try it. Your life will change when you gratefully accept and change your pattern
